W.O.F. 23

This week's weird object is a return to the wind-up toys around here. This one is made of metal. A seal, or sea lion, whichever, doing its tricks. Wind it up (as in the second picture) and it spins around, with the ball and the blades spinning around, helicopter-like. One of the better wind-ups around here.

We will be away from the blog for a few days - may be able to post from a place with wi-fi - like my sister's. Hope I make W.O.F. 24!

Make sure Margaret takes you to the toy store in Ellicott City. We found tons of wind up toys there. Have a safe trip.

I have walked by this many times, but have never seen it in action. Nice to see it working in pictures. See you soon. You are welcome to my computer to keep the WOF tradition going. I'm sure you can find something weird where you are staying.

I like it. Better than the usual toys these days. Enjoy your trip.

Have fun visiting your sister! My cat Rikki has a wind up lobster in his toy box. When I wind it up for him he looks at it for a second or two, maybe. (Not much of an attention span.)

To be clear, it would be my wife with the thing for the wind up toys. (but you knew that.) I just take pictures of 'em.
