Wy wife collects wind-up toys, and has a bunch of them. Maybe the weirdest looking one, to me, is the walking dinosaur skeleton.
Here he is with some of his friends.
Here are quite a few more of the members of the collection. See that green robot at the top? My sister sent us an army of those guys, red and green. Wind them up and they do this hula-like dance.

My cat Rikki loves wind-up toys. He would be in wind-up heaven at your house. His favorite is a wind up lobster.
We don't have a lobster (that I know of) but we've got a crab...
It is interesting that all human beings want to collect something. I wonder what need it fills? Loved the wind-ups. Saw an interesting windup caterpillar while in Austin. Do they take up more room than your albums?
Gerry: They don't come close to taking up the space that my music does. Perhaps collecting is part of that innate "hunter/gatherer" trait we've held for time immemorial.
Want some more robots? Probably not, huh? Where did you get the dinosaur?
an archaelogical dig?
actually, it was a birthday present from friends in Michigan. Maybe they dug it up...
I like those wind up toys. What a fun thing to collect. The dino looks like a puzzle that my son used to have.
