Blogger Jen (listed to the right) has instigated an effort to get people to blog about objects every Monday, in alphabetical order, one per letter. I cannot promise to make every Monday, But I will try. Here, then, is our first contribution to the cause:
A is for Avocado
A is for the avocado Some consider it holy
'Cause you can smash it up
And make guacamole!

Touche!! Actually it's out of the house - it wasn't ripe so the boy took it back to college with him.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm...guacamole....
oh my gosh! I wasn't sure what that was until I read Avocado!!! Love the poem! I love guacamole!!!
I love guacamole! Are you going to writing a poem every week? You should!
When I was growing up, my father used to root avacado seeds in jars of water. Then he would plant them in pots and there would always be several avacado plants in our family room. They formed an avacado like jungle. We were too far north for any fruit to come it.
Welcome, Rosemarie! I may attempt the poetry route. My dad is the master of the perfect poem (rhyme, meter, choice of words...perfection). But I may give it an amateur whirl...
