GOATS ON THE ROOF!

What a brilliant marketing poly. This restaurant out here in, I think, Sister Bay, back in 1973, went for a sod roof, and loaded some goats up there to graze as tourists walk by, note the goats, pull out cameras, and more than a few decide to stop in and eat. And no, they do not serve goat meat. These guys are for show only.

I love this idea. We have something just like this a little north of us here in GA. Especially in the Autumn of the year, tourists enjoying the colorful foliage in the area, stop here to take photos of the goats and buy apple cider and fresh mountain apples! Thanks for sharing Ben.

The building looks like a barn without any windows. I wonder how successful the marketing plan is.

It certainly is a very "Green"building. In Singapore, in NTU, they designed a building like that.

Thanks for visiting. I don't mind I am late in joining the food meme. I just started my food site, my other two are general sites.

How cool! I'd think that would draw some attention.

Back around 1920, Darius Milhaud wrote a ballet called "Le Boeuf sur le Toit" all about the beef on the roof, in the dada-ist mode that those crazy French folks cultivated in their hangover from World War One. So maybe it wasn't so dada after all. Maybe it was more just "dowwwwwwww".
